Congratulations Turner’s House

Many congratulations to Turners House (also known as Sandycombe Lodge) in Twickenham for winning both the RIBA London Award 2018 and the RIBA London Conservation Award 2018

For 50 years the RIBA awards have championed and celebrated the best architecture in the UK and around the world, no matter the form, size or budget. Their awards and prizes are regarded internationally as a mark of excellence, recognising the best architecture, architects, research and students.

System Five, a 4energy group company, were members of the team that worked on the fascinating restoration project of Turners House, built between 1813 – 1815 to the designs of England’s great landscape painter, J.M.W. Turner.

System Five provided building controls to help preserve both the fabric of the building and collection of artworks and worked with Lewis Services on the remarkable year-long restoration project which was led by conservation architect Gary Butler of Butler Hegarty and Glevum Heritage Consulting.
